Support
Questions, problems or ideas about AutoOrganize: support@autoorganize.app.
To help quickly, please include the app version (Settings → How it works) and, for filing issues, the file kind and the folder. There is no need to send the document itself, especially if it contains personal details; a description is enough.
Frequently asked questions
AutoOrganize does not appear in the Share sheet.
In the Share sheet, swipe the row of apps to the left up to "More", tap "Edit", enable AutoOrganize and add it to your favourites. Sharing options are set per source app, so you may need to do this once for each app.
Where are my files stored?
In the folders you chose inside your base folder, in iCloud Drive or On My iPhone. You see them in Files, on your Mac and in every app. The app has no store of its own and no server.
How do I undo a filing?
From the "Archive" tab, for 7 days from the local copy or for as long as you set under Settings → Storage. Undo puts the file back where it was. Once the local copy has been released, the record stays in "Archive" and the file in your folder, but the filing can no longer be undone by the app.
I already have folders in iCloud Drive. Do I have to recreate them?
No. Under "Categories → Add existing folders", tick the ones you want: each folder becomes a category and the folders inside it become subfolders, without anything being moved or changed. Files already there stay where they are.
Do I need an AI key?
No. Suggestions come from your previous filings, from the document's first page read on the device and, where available, from Apple's on-device model. The remote AI provider is optional, off by default, and works with your own key on your own account.
What leaves the device?
Nothing, unless you enable an AI provider. Then metadata is sent (file name, title, kind and size, category and subfolder names) and, only when you tap "Send the file to AI", the first page as an image. Details are in the privacy policy and inside the app under Settings → AI provider → "What leaves the device".
I deleted or moved an archived file in Files.
The app detects it and marks it as "missing from the folder". As long as the local copy exists, you restore it to its folder with one tap.
How do I delete all of the app's data?
By deleting the app. Files in iCloud Drive or On My iPhone remain yours and are not touched.
