Privacy Policy
AutoOrganize collects no data. Everything you file stays on your device and in the folders you choose. The developer runs no server, receives nothing from you and does not track you.
Who is responsible
The app is developed by Denis Demku (the "developer"). Contact: support@autoorganize.app.
What the app stores on your device
All of the following live only on your iPhone or iPad, inside the private container of the app and its Share extension, and are never sent anywhere:
- A record for each file you added or shared: name, title, kind and size, category and subfolder, dates, its path inside your base folder, and a fingerprint (SHA‑256) used to recognise duplicates.
- A local copy of each file, so that a filing can be undone. It is released automatically after 7 days (or the period you set under "Storage") or whenever you ask.
- Thumbnails and the words of a document's first page, which the app reads on the device to suggest a folder. They do not leave the device.
- Your settings (base folder, categories, appearance, storage limits).
- If you enable an AI provider, the API key you entered, stored in the device Keychain.
Your files themselves are stored where you put them: in a folder of iCloud Drive or "On My iPhone" that you chose. iCloud Drive syncing is performed by Apple under Apple's own terms and privacy policy.
What the app does not do
- No accounts, sign‑up or sign‑in.
- No advertising, no usage analytics, no third‑party tracking code.
- Nothing is sent to the developer. There is no app server.
- It does not read files you did not give it.
Optional AI with your own account
Folder suggestions come from your previous choices and, where available, from Apple's on‑device model. None of that leaves the device.
You may optionally enable a remote AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI or Google) with your own API key. This is off by default. If you enable it:
- Each question sends the file's name, title, kind and size, and the names of your categories and subfolders.
- A file's content (its first page as an image) is sent only when you tap "Send the file to AI". Then, per folder, the period format of your titles and which words of the folder's name you capitalise are sent as well. Never the file's location on the device, its fingerprint, or password‑protected documents.
- The request goes directly from your device to the provider you chose, encrypted (HTTPS), with no intermediary. The provider processes it under the terms and privacy policy of your own account with them. The developer never sees it.
- The app keeps only the answer, as a suggestion you confirm or reject. It does not keep the request body.
- You can turn the provider off or delete the key at any time in Settings.
Notifications
If you enable an AI provider, the app asks permission for local notifications so it can tell you when an answer has arrived. Notifications are created on the device; no push service is used.
Deletion
- "Remove" on a record deletes the record and the local copy. Files in your folders are not touched.
- Deleting the app deletes all of its data from the device. Files in iCloud Drive or "On My iPhone" remain yours.
- For anything you sent to an AI provider, contact that provider; the developer holds no copy.
Children
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Because the developer neither collects nor processes your personal data, there is nothing on the developer's side to access, correct or delete. For questions, write to support@autoorganize.app.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new effective date, and material changes are noted in the release notes of the corresponding app version.
